IT Infrastructure Intern
About This Position:
The IT Infrastructure Intern will gain hands-on experience supporting the technology operations of Just Say Something SC and Compass of Carolina. This position offers exposure to a diverse range of systems, technologies, and organizational processes while working alongside experienced IT professionals.
The intern will assist with end-user support, network administration, VoIP phone systems, server infrastructure, cloud services, and other technology initiatives that support both organizations. This role is ideal for students interested in systems administration, infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and enterprise IT operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with inventorying and documenting hardware and technology assets
- Support workstation deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and end-user support
- Assist with the administration of Microsoft 365, Azure, and other cloud-based services
- Help maintain Windows Server environments and common infrastructure services, including Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), DNS, and DHCP
- Provide support for Windows, macOS, and Linux based operating systems
- Assist with user account management and access controls across various platforms
- Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot multi-function printers (MFPs) and desktop printers
- Document network configurations, system settings, and IT procedures
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for infrastructure improvements
- Assist with technology projects supporting both organizations
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for staff
- Assist with basic scripting and automation tasks using batch (.bat), shell (.sh), or similar technologies

| Preferred Skills: | Preferred skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish
- Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms
- Experience with Microsoft Power Automate, SharePoint
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies or cloud platforms
Qualifications:
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5
- Completed at least 30 credit hours at the time of application
- Currently enrolled in an Information Technology – Systems Security and Infrastructure degree at Greenville Technical College
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, creativity and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment
