• Develop functional and appealing web- and mobile-based applications based on usability for existing custom website
• Provide website enhancements using combination of markup languages to write web pages (HTML, SQL, CSS, WordPress) for custom website
• Write functional requirement documents and specifications
• Create quality mockup and prototype on tight timeline
• Assist back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
• Create cascading style sheets (CSS) that are consistent across all browsers and platforms
• Maintain and/or improve graphic standards and branding throughout the product’s interface
• Incorporate emerging technologies in website refresh
• Promote usability best practices

Other Job Requirements:

• Understanding of layout aesthetics and a rigor for programming.
• User interface know-how with CSS, HTML, JavaScript and jQuery. Knowledge of web technologies gained from research and professional experience.
• Understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development and deployment, with some back-end knowledge.
• Strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems such as Drupal and WordPress, as well as software programs like the Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with responsive and adaptive design is also a big plus.
• Must be able to effectively communicate.
• Ability to solve problems and adapt quickly to new web design and application trends.
