Front-End Developer (Coder)

Job Description

Classification:    Exempt

Office Hours:    Typically 8:00 – 5:30 M-F; however, frequent work outside these hours will be required

OVERALL OBJECTIVE:

Under the direction of the Front-End Development Manager or members of other departments within the Company, the Front-End Developer is responsible for the delivery of timely and quality web coding to promote sale of goods and services of the Company’s clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Day-to-Day Duties

• Execute the department’s deliverables
• Program interactive media pages using CSS and HTML
• Resource for other departments
• Follow department and Company standards
• Participate in special projects, as assigned
• Help ensure department remains up to date with work products (Newsletters, eBlasts, Content Pages, etc.)
• Learn and utilize SEO techniques in Google Analytics and Google Webmaster tools
• Remain prepared for wide variety of media-based projects the Company is requested to produce
• Communicate with internal customers for the best possible product delivery

• AA in web development, design or related field of study
• 1-3 years of web coding experience
• 1+ years of experience working with internet projects preferred (not required)
• Combination of education and experience will be considered
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret all forms of information
• Ability to write clean, well-documented code using CSS and HTML
• Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills
• Ability to give, accept and learn from constructive criticism
• Must be well organized
• Must be detail oriented
• Must be team oriented but able to work independently
• Must demonstrate tact and diplomacy
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Ability to multi-task
• Must be efficient
• Will develop strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to meet deadlines (possibly working late hours and/or weekends as needed)
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Intermediate knowledge of Mac and PC computers
• Entry to intermediate knowledge of web development tools used by the Company
• Entry to intermediate level experience with Google Mail, Calendar and Drive software
• Entry to intermediate level proficiency with Internet/e-commerce sites and applications development
